These forums are a little hard to search through so I apologize if this has already been covered somewhere else.

I am loving the game so far but I have to wonder if anybody else is having issues with the characters pathfinding. Sometimes I'll tell the character to go somewhere and they will take a rather circuitous route that frequently involves them climbing an object only to jump off the other side, fail the check, and lose half their hit points in fall damage. I feel that there needs to be something that makes jumping off an unsafe ledge a little more intentional and not something that the AI will try to do when another safer path to their destination exists. This issue also relates to damaging surfaces, sometimes the path the AI takes will go right through the fire surface even though taking three steps to the side would allow them to circumvent it easily making it so I have to meticulously walk each of the characters around the surface or else my party will be half dead and I need to rest or heal again.

Anyway I know that finding a safe path through dangerous surfaces is something that is probably in the works as it has existed before in previous games. But the takeaway suggestion here is that I would like to see something that makes leaping off an unsafe ledge a more deliberate choice and not something that can just happen, when you look away for a second, while the characters are simply walking across the map.

Good job Larian, and keep up the good work!

I second that, I had the same issue.
