I've been playing multiplayer with a friend. We're a few hours into the game and we're at the blighted village.

When we fast travel back to the camp about 70% of the time Gale immediately engages us in dialogue and says "you shouldn't have a come here."

He then proceeds to give us all attitude -5 and attacks us.

This is quite problematic because it forces us to kill him. Yet if you kill him he leaves death fog behind which kills all of the other NPCs and it doesn't seem to go away.

We circumvented this by luring him to the other side of the camp and killing him on the beach, away from all the other NPCs. Obviously, ideally, we'd rather not have to do this.

I'm wondering if anyone else has had this issue?

If it's helpful I could make a video or take screenshots. Just let me know.

I have the same issue, I'm also at the Blighted Village. I've narrowed down the trigger to Astarion and Blighted Village. If you have Gale at camp and Astarion in your party, Gale hates Vampires and will attack him on sight if you travel from Blighted Village.

Steps to reproduce:

1) Load your save at Blighted Village before you fast travel to camp
2) Split your player so the other party members do not follow and fast travel to camp, you get the dialogue but no combat.
3) now split Astarion and fast travel to camp, suddenly combat begins.

Workarounds:

1) Fast Travel to Roadside Cliffs
2) Long rest as normal, no combat
