I saw a few of threads regarding the game crashing after finishing the tutorial, but they were all for PC users and/or related to a character being downed.
I'm running a Late 2018 13 in MacBook Pro on potato settings and the game gives me a long loading screen, and then just as it's finished, I hear the next scene begin, then my screen turns black, I hear my fan whirl up extremely loud for 2 seconds, then the computer shuts down giving me a message saying the computer had to restart due to an error. This was after the hotfix and as a Mac user, we don't DX11 option. Is the solution to use OpenGL instead of Metal?

I am having this issue too. I "kinda" solved it when I dropped to potato settings and resolution and went to windowed mode BUT all NPCs were gone and couldn't interact with anything. Re-loaded last save and game crashed.

UPDATE

I tried disabling a few settings on the launcher settings page. This time I finally saw the proper cutscene, NPC are back, and my mac didn't shutdown because of an error. Not sure if that was what fixed it, but I seem to have gotten somethings.

I checked "Disable Touch Support" not sure what that is. I also checked "Disable Hardware Fade Effects" still not sure what that is either. I also shut off Notification pop-ups while in game. I wasn't getting them to begin with, but figured why not. I don't know if these are actually what made a difference, but it's worth a shot.
