FSAA stands for.. full screen anti-aliasing. its only going to make your game characters look less jagged when you zoom up close to them.

its also bugged i think.. doesnt seem to work for some people.

FSAA = Full Screen Anti Aliasing

It's a multisampling technique that 3d cards can do to reduce "jagging" on edges. In other words, it makes the outlines of the 3d stuff more smooth and nice. The number after the FSAA setting (ie. 0, 2, 4 etc) refers to how many samples per pixel the card will do. The more samples, the nicer looking graphics but also the more samples, the slower the game will render.

In BD I guess it only really affects the characters though..

It's normally smoother for the eye, you'll see it easilly by zoom all the way out, and look how awfull the fine sword of the hero looks like, it's like stairs. With AA, it should be smoother.

The price to pay for activating FSAA, normally some performance.
But the game is then unable to do screenshots or to get the mini screen for the savegame. And when loading you'll see the intro screen instead of the game screen.

well that's easy. don't use it.

if the option hadn't been there, no one would have noticed the characters looking jagged. i can just see people coming unhinged over this one simply because Larian put the option in. argh.

hopefully they fix it, but i'm thinking they have more important fish to fry with the summoning doll bug that cropped up recently.
