I was very very disappointed. It started so promising, but it seems like I have no option to make a deal with him. This could have been such a cool way to show how your actions have consequences and could have opened a whole lot of new quests and interactions.
Why can I not make a pact ?! At the tollhouse you can talk to the dead people and they tell you they made a deal with a devil, because they were scared. My pc has a tadpole in his head, thats pretty scary... why can't I ask the devil for help ?
If this were a pnp session and I could trust my dm to not screw the player completely just for fun, I would certainly choose the deal with some more "open minded" or less brave characters ^^
It just felt like an obvious dialogue option was missing. If the devil wants to let you squirm a while longer, fine, but at least let me ask directly.
