I'm not sure if the "paid the price" debuff is supposed to follow your character through the entirety of your playthrough, but if it does I think that this is an incredibly horrible game design decision. This debuff is MASSIVE. Not only will this will really push people to select safe dialogue options moving forward as they progress throughout the game, but it will also make players feel like they want/need to reroll their game. For instance, I chose this dialogue option because it sounded interesting and I wanted to see where it would lead even though I knew it wasn't necessarily the smartest decision (I didn't expect the hag to cure me).
If this debuff can be removed in some manner please feel free to correct me, but seeing as I have killed the hag and closed the questline I don't think it can be.
Anyways, just a suggestion of my part.

I have the debuff and I think it’s hilarious. But I’m a mage so the impact isn’t that big for me. I really hope the “Hag’s Eye” tag gets a lot of use.

I have the debuff as a healing cleric and basically shrugged and said, "Ok." I would really like more Hag's Eye dialogue options, it seems a pretty cool choice. Also a visual indicator of it!

For the tidbit of information and the story hook I do accept having the debuff, was a fighter heavy weapon eldritch knight, the lack of critical seems a bit excessive it is much worst then being permanently blinded as you have disadvantage but you could play around that to get advantage or just get luck and double roll nat 20s. I think the debuff is fine but it should be modified to something less drastic as criticals are impossible or at least have some benefit for when you would score a critical that isnt extra damage like healing damage that would have been done, innate spell resistance, or better yet class specific debuffs and boons.

I seemed to get an item from her, after some additional dialogue, that would clear the taint from the eye. I got it since I stressed "she did not honor her bargain" which I guess hags are all about. It was a bone she gave me, and it could be used. It had no effect, so it seems bugged at the moment.

The outcome of getting a f*cked up eye is really hilarious tho, and fits very well with d&d. This game will be incredible at full release. Love this sort of quest design, it shows Larian really gets it. *hint* this is not the only super-hilarious outcome you can get from npcs in the game. Search and you might find... Volo can be your guide in this en-devour...

Agreed I laughed quite hard after I did a long rest and tested a few options. The hair she can give also didnt give me the +1 attribute so I assume it was not implemented yet or as you suggested bugged.

I liked the idea of paying the price of your choice in a significant, permanent way, but a debuff so HEAVY should definitely come with some significant benefit to compensate it. Right now the quest just makes a mockery of the player denying to him the reward that was promised AND giving him a permanent debuff on top of it with no upside whatsoever.

I like the choice, they should keep it, it's narratively interesting. But there needs to be more to it to make it worth taking on the debuff.

Still, doesn't really fit her lore of "tricking people by giving them what they asked for" (but not what they wanted). In the player's case she just takes an eye and doesn't give us shit in return, she just gives up on removing the tadpole because its' too dangerous for her to deal with it.

There's a paralyzed tiefling, that tells you all about why you don't take potions from this person. Wanted power, ended up as strong as a Bugbear, Fearless, and Paralyzed. Can't really complain if you ignored (or missed) the warnings.

I'm fine with the debuff and shrugged it off, but it would be pretty lame if there were no more dialogue or choices involving it.

I think the depuff is pretty smart and accurate. As many ppl noted you can't deal with the swamp had, as she always twist her promises. I also think they should be however a benefit if you keep her as an ally and support her in her mischief, maybe later in game.
p.s I laughed because her deal did not work on Wyll, who actually has just one eye. Funny dialogs and amazing writing Larian

maybe it should come with a positive aswell, like for example an extra save roll for blind cloud or so. With only one eye there is a 50% chance against blinding spells or so..

Just for the record, the same happens for the player character if he already lost an eye elsewhere (i.e. Volo). A genuinely nice touch and a great example of attention to detail.
