Ok, finished the EA once and cleared most (I think) of the content there. Feedback will be marked in Cyan, Bugs in Red.

Initial impressions
First off, my perspective comes from the POV of someone who cares a lot more about the combat than the story, although that still obviously plays a part. I personally found the difficulty to be too easy, although I imagine that this will be addressed closer to release when difficulty options are added. When they are added I would prefer if difficulty was increased by giving monsters more powers, or by improving their AI, but not by increasing the quantity of monsters thrown at you (I don't enjoy wading through armies of chaff).

The game is graphically impressive and I imagine as the game moves closer to release this will only improve. Sound is good. There were quite a few bugs, but that is to be expected in the early access.

Notable Bugs
These are probably well known, no harm in repeating them here though in the event they are not.
• After freeing Mayrina, you cannot interact with her and the hag does not spawn.
• Sometimes on critical hits, the enemies corpse heavily distorts and turns into weird planes. Saving and reloading fixes this.
• During the cinematic when you confront Kagha about the Shadow druids, one of the NPCs contorts into a half snake, half person mess. With parts of their body completely disconnected from each other.
• Animals like bears climbing ladders, which they clearly should not be able to climb.

User Interface
I have a number of suggestions regarding user interface. In general, someone who has never seen a particular interface should be able to "work out" what the interface is for, or how it works. Here are some places where this can be improved.
• Inventory sorting. It is difficult to see this button, considering it is very small in relation to the other UI. I would recommend getting rid of it and having 4 buttons there, for each of the different sorting methods, preferably larger than they currently are so they stand out.
• In combat I would like to be able to target the portraits of both allies and enemies in the initiative order. When doing so, it would aim a spell at that ally/enemy and warn you if it is unable to hit them.
• When selling items to a vendor, it would be great if there was an option that allowed you to automatically move items of a specific type into the tray to sell them. For example, if there were options for selling non magical weapons or armor as well as miscellaneous items, it would drastically reduce the amount of clicking I do.
• The journal. I cannot find an option to hide completed quests and I feel this is really an essential feature of a journal. Ideally I would also like a search bar that when typed in, would hide all quests that do not contain that word and highlight the text within the quest as well.
• There should be an option to disable the D20 roll on the screen and just tell us if we succeeded/failed. I understand why the feature is there and that some people like it, but for others like myself, I would prefer if it was not there.
• On a similar note, the key that skips through dialogue (space) should not also automatically select the first dialogue option, otherwise you may end up selecting something you do not want.

Skill Checks
This I feel is probably more a failing of the 5e ruleset than the game itself, but it feels like specializing a character does not really matter. When it comes to making a skill check, the difference between a supposed expert on a subject and someone who knows nothing about it is barely noticeable at all and this does not "feel good." In my opinion, if there is any place you are going to diverge from the 5e ruleset, this should be one of them. If you know a language for example, there should not even be a check on if you are translating a script or not, you just "know it." Likewise, I feel there should be a take 10 or take 20 option for out of combat interactions. Obviously, it should not be mandatory for everyone, so that for those who want a more "tabletop like" experience can go with that and it should probably not even be the default, but it should still be an option because as it currently stands, the way skill checks work just feels bad.

Combat
I am enjoying the combat a great deal, however I find that I would like it to be more challenging. As it currently stands the only fights where I really needed to think a bit were some of those down in the Underdark. The way combat is set up greatly rewards pushing enemies around, rather than directly dealing damage to them, which does make for an interesting change of pace. All in all I do not have much to say about the combat, it is good.
