I have to say, I cannot begin to tell you how much I enjoy this game. I love the depth, the story, and am consistently fascinated by the fact that I can play in isometric on my PC, but it can be mostly 3rd Person Action (with better control) on the Chromecast/TV.
I feel my first impression recommendations are quite Stadia specific, but here they lie...
As others have said, and I assumed, the controller interface is not yet as refined an experience as the K&M. Walking through the game is fine, but battle is significantly more cumbersome with a controller than K&M and not how I expected. One thing that could help this immensely would be to have quick slots available that you can bind to buttons (dPad and l/r1 come to mind) like the keyboard quick spell slots. It would be incredible if they would work with any action, but I would be happy with spell slots only (I play a Wizard anyway:)).
In addition, the text for chats is a bit small on my TV, and sometimes, I find it difficult to read. If there were a font size option, it would alleviate this.
All in all, this pre-release is better than some other full games I have purchased (Oh how I wish I could get a refund for Wave Break, but alas, I missed the deadline :D). BG3 had Huge shoes to fill, and I am so thrilled with the outcome.
