Okay, so this isn't really a bug, but I think it is an issue.

Presumably because of Gale's condition, when he dies he apparently emits a death aura. It doesn't look that big, but apparently it's big enough. I was doing the final fight on the boats right before the end of the early access, and my team was Me, Gale, Shadowheart, and Lae'zel. At one point in the fight, one of the enemies knocked Gale off of the boat, which caused him to get OHKO'd and since his body didn't have anywhere to go, I guess it just sent him back to camp.

So, here's the issue: With the combination of Gale's death aura, being knocked off a boat and his body being sent back to camp, and him and Astarion standing fairly close to each other at camp, I suddenly got a popup that said:

Journal Updated: The Pale Elf

Confused, I checked my journal, and sure enough, right at the top of the entry:

Quote
Astarion Died. No time for a funeral.

I clicked on Gale's body, to check the camp to see what the heck was going on, and sure enough, I see Gale's dead body surrounded by a death aura, and Astarion's dead body right next to him.

I didn't look at the camp in the video because I stopped recording right before that. However, it is tremendously easy to re-create, so here's a screenshot of the result at camp:

You can see Wyll comes in to investigate which causes him to take some damage, but he leaves before actually dying. Looks like this could also potentially kill Shadowheart if your team is PC, Gale, Lae'zel, and Wyll.

Also, I believe this only happens if Gale actually fails his death rolls. When trying to recreate it the first time, he passed his rolls, and just stabilized by a bedroll. So he wasn't next to anyone, and wasn't emitting a death aura regardless.

A possible solution is to just put dead people over by the beach or something, near the mummy dude (but not too near), and just make sure no NPCs go over there (like during the party, or any other events). Maybe add a cemetery spot or something at the camp (that's probably a little extra, though).

I like the death aura. I think it's very thematic, but his location when he dies is a problem.
