After first encountering Priestess Gut, and she knocks you out and you find yourself locked in chains, you are still able to fast travel to any of the waypoints, essentially negating the "challenge" of being trapped in some dungeon that you now have you navigate out of. You can do the same with your remaining party members where you can happily regroup.

Would it make sense to temporarily disable fast travel for instances like this, to make the separation from your other party members feel more significant? I get that you can just decide to NOT use fast travel but... *shrugs* having it disabled would better fit the D&D narrative.

What do other folks think?

That's interesting. My problem was, I would get her alone in her room to assassinate her, and the first thing she does in the fight is shout that she wants help and then I'm in a fight with 15 goblins. That did not feel right to me.

I agree, it negated the usefulness of actually getting her alone. as it is I ended up going to bed (I was expecting a slaughetr not a fight and it was late) and when I resumed the next day from my save I managed to luck out and have her roll last on init and kill her before she could fight back

Yeah sure, I smoke her first because I'm in the room with her, but then I'm still in the fight with the 15 other characters that just swarm my 4 characters like it's the Korean War.

Lol, I didn't even think to try to talk to her. I came in from a different path, and just rained down death from above until she and all her henchmen were dead.

no I mean I got lucky and managed to kill ehr before she had a turn in initative to call for backup, but obviously that won't work all the time unless you save scrum, definatly agree that this is a over all flaw in the game. it's impossiable to seperate high value targets and kill them. with this goblin camp quest it's pretty much IMPOSSIABLE to avoid making the goblins agro on you. which is a HUGE problem when you consider that you have to return to enter the underdark later
