When my character does persuasion, intimidation, deception, or performance checks, her charisma score gets added to the check -- not the modifier.

So, instead of getting a +4 bonus (+2 CHA and +2 Proficiency Bonus), she gets essentially a +16 (+14 for Charisma, + 2 for proficiency)

Now while a part of me doesn't mind this bug that is way in my favor, what's fair is fair, so I feel it's my duty to report it!

(And Larian -- if you're reading this -- loving the game!!!)

Haven't noticed that myself, would you mind posting your class / race / CHA based proficiences? Maybe some of us can see if we can replicate it?

The more data on a bug they have, the better. Also, when you mouse over things that involve Charisma, does it state something like 1d20+2 Charisma check. Don't recall the exact wording. It could just be a bug in the rolling system, or it could be a bug with Charisma as a whole.

Re: KentDA -- Sorry for the delay in my response.

I have a half-elf rogue. Am proficient in deception and persuasion.

For what it's worth, the bug has now been fixed and I get a +2 CHA from charisma instead of the +12.

What's funny is that in my home D&D game, I had a bard who with expertise did in fact have a +13 to performance and persuasion haha... but it's good that my game isn't "cheating" any longer

I am having the same issue. If there is an option to use illithid power, total modifier for that option is way lower that the "less powerful" and usual Persuasion/Intimidation/Deception.
