Ever since the second night at camp, I cannot talk to members of my party anymore unless they have an exclamation point above their heads.
That means I can't change party members or dialogue. Other dialogues are fine, and dialogues with companions not in party are fine as well.
I loaded a (much) earlier save and dialogue with party members worked but stopped working after second night at camp.

same problem with Lae'zel. Every time I try to interact it says "Can't reach." Like she's somewhere else in the gameworld instead of in camp.

Same here, though it took longer than second night at camp for it to happen. Shadowhear, Gale, and Lae'zel all three.

For me, I can't talk to anyone who is one of the 4 active party members. This makes it impossible to swap out party members.

Did any of you initiate dialogue or combat or do anything and switch companions while another companion was in dialogue? I was having the same problem and determined that this was the cause. I made a similar post yesterday.

I think it was actually from an ambush in the blighted village. I attacked without initiating conversation with sneak and then it broke my conversation. A quick fix is to kill all your party members and resurrect them through the hooded figure. Solved the issue for me.

I've got the same issue. I was in the blighted village and now I cannot speak to my companions. I tried saving and reloading, rebooting the game, long resting, teleporting around, talking to NPCs, and talking to other companions not in my current party. All to no avail.

After looking back through my saves it seems like the problem started when I started the boss fight at the windmill. I think it might be because I used a sneak attack to start the fight and that caused issues with dialog. The system seems to have a hard time when it tries to initiate a dialog cutscene while someone makes an attack.

I've got the same problem. I had Lae'zel in my party when we met and fought the Githyanki in the pass. Afterwards I had her leave my party and added Wyll. At some point after that, I could no longer speak to her at all. I tried to kill her, which aggro'd Shadowheart so I had to kill them both. Couldn't rez either of them with the scrolls, and the lich guy wouldn't help me either so I had to reload that save.

I got the scene where we all get sick and she tries to kill us, but aside from that I haven't been able to speak to her at all, including when she has an exclamation point above her head.

More recently, I got the scene where everyone had the sexy mindflayer dreams and got new powers. While talking with everyone (except Lae'zel) about it, I tried to persuade Astarion to tell me about his dream. I failed the roll and he ended the conversation. After that I couldn't initiate conversation with him either. He's still in my party and I still get the text box when I hover over him, but I can't talk to him at all.
