So i had a quest were Gale dies, and you have to do couple tests to get a scroll to resurrect him. And everything went fine to the part were i use the scroll on him. It doesn't let me.

It says invalid target.

So i tought i had to do some more side quests to make him resurrect. But im at this point just assuming its a bug. After watching people on youtube resurrecting him.

I had the same issue, except he wasn't even in the party when he died. I went back to camp at the end of the day and as soon as I entered camp he attacked me. I tried everything to not kill him, but he wouldn't leave combat. He ended up jumping onto a rock in the center of camp and dying.

I jumped up on the rock and looted him, almost dying to the necro aura. I went through the cutscene and then the process for creating the scroll of true resurrection. When I try to use it on him, I get 'invalid target'. He just lays there, all dead and necro stinking.

I tried restarting the game. I tried adventuring further then returning to camp. I tried a regular scroll of res. Nothing seems to work. He said I had 48 hours to res him. At this point I'm resigning myself to not having Gale as a party choice.

Gale Workaround: It appears that Gale is attacking because of the familiars. I remembered that one of my party members "disapproved" when I summoned an Imp, so I loaded an earlier save, killed all familiars, then went back to camp. No attack this time! I can carry on for a while I guess, until I hit the part where Gale dies for other reasons. Hopefully a fix is incoming.

i never got to try gale in party aswell, i had him in camp

I had to redo an entire fight because his necro aura killed everyone. (I had separated the party before the fight to position them.) I think I read somewhere that you have to open the inventory screen to get his specific resurrect scroll thing, but that was after I had already reloaded. (I only had 1 normal resurrect scroll.)

i tried with true res scroll, didnt work either
