I’m a big fan of both Divinity OS 1 and 2, and D&D 5E. I see so many posts either complaining that BG3 is too much like Divinity, or that the 5E ruleset is a problem and it should be more like Divinity.
Just wanted to say...I think BG3 is a great mix of the two games the way it is. Yeah, there are some things that could be better, but overall, the implementation of the 5E ruleset in a way that incorporates the environmental combat from Divinity is awesome.
I love that fire bolt sets grease surfaces on fire, and that frost bolt creates an ice surface. It makes for a combat experience that feels like D&D 5E, with some Divinity spice, and it’s great.
I just wanted to make a post stating that the game is a good mix of both systems, because I see so many posts complaining that the system is too 5E or too Divinity.
