True strike and blade ward?
Not my favourite ones: those two have a casting time of one action. That means you spend your entire turn without attacking or casting so you have advantage to-hit on your next turn for ONE of your attacks or physical resistance that only lasts for one round.
What about if I attack twice instead? or disengage and run instead? and if you are playing the TT it´s also best if you use the evade action or fall to the ground if they´re attacking me from range. I hope we could do that in bg3 sometimes.
The only one that could pull it off is the Eldritch knight that can cast a cantrip and strike with the main hand as a bonus in the same turn.
Those two are usually considered the worst cantrips of D&D ever from the vast majority of the players. I think you are the only one I know of that like, not only, but both of them. It seems there´s not accounting for taste.
Its not a question of like, but which ones are most useable for the class.
They're cantrips, the others aren't of much use on a AT or EK.
If your pin down is at a low chance, true strike will help it to land. Blade Ward I did'nt realize only had a 1 turn duration so never mind with that then.
