Minor illusion is meh, I'd rather that he have True Strike, Mage Hand and Blade Ward, with Arcane Trickster only giving two cantrip slots.

Also I only just got into the swamp and found out that he can't do much with running water everywhere.

True strike and blade ward?
Not my favourite ones: those two have a casting time of one action. That means you spend your entire turn without attacking or casting so you have advantage to-hit on your next turn for ONE of your attacks or physical resistance that only lasts for one round.
What about if I attack twice instead? or disengage and run instead? and if you are playing the TT it´s also best if you use the evade action or fall to the ground if they´re attacking me from range. I hope we could do that in bg3 sometimes.
The only one that could pull it off is the Eldritch knight that can cast a cantrip and strike with the main hand as a bonus in the same turn.

Those two are usually considered the worst cantrips of D&D ever from the vast majority of the players. I think you are the only one I know of that like, not only, but both of them. It seems there´s not accounting for taste.

True Strike is extremely trash due to how easily you can get advantage in this game. High ground and backstab can make u attack with adv all day. Actually I think they shall restrict backstab and high ground a bit, and make true strike a bonus action spell.

Its not a question of like, but which ones are most useable for the class.

They're cantrips, the others aren't of much use on a AT or EK.

If your pin down is at a low chance, true strike will help it to land. Blade Ward I did'nt realize only had a 1 turn duration so never mind with that then.

Giving him mage hand would be an awful idea, since AT is supposed to get it for free.

Drow racial cantrip is quite hilarious as well. Dancing lights. Just why? If there is one thing they don't need, it's lights XD

According to 5e rules, Arcane Trickster does get mage hand for free:

Except in BG3 you don't get mage hand for free unless Githyanki. Maybe actually try playing the game first rather than making assumptions based on PnP rules.
