My apologies for not remembering the quest names and some of the more specific details...

I did not see this through but instead reloaded a previous save to keep him alive the whole time.

Love the game so far and appreciate the level of detail. This will be a great addition to the Baldur's Gate saga.

I think that's because she will be a follower during act 2. (bless you) and the game doesn't have a quest chain path so it halts on the end of that part.

If you jump through the building and break down the door to where he is he'll follow you that way, straight to his dead wife. you can also 'shove' him toward her if the flames are moving too fast, or if he gets stuck.

Too many times have I randomly walked off a rooftop into fire/acid/enemies... it's hilarious but def needs to be fixed.
