Something I feel like would spice up the combat a little more is the ability to utilize the Hold Action function. For those that dont know what that is, its where you hold your action rather than take it on your turn. You maintain your position and declare a trigger for your action to occur, a very common one being "wait for something to come into range". This is so you avoid missing an action but you also do not have to give up your position in some cases where you know a target will be in range before your next turn.
Could put it in as a toggle, another hotkey similar to ctrl area attack.
Its not always useful but neither is shove. It could make combat feel more tactical as line of sight can be used more defensively, positioning for knockbacks can be more controlled and options taken during your turn will be a little more flexible. Idea came up on the first fight outside the crypt. When you attack from upstairs, Quelenna comes running around the corner with her friends. In a 5e scenario, you could be waiting with repelling blast to knock them right where you want them (like when they hit the top of the stairs, pop them off the ledge like when you push Warryn off his lil box). I know that hold action is so much more complex in the pencil and paper game, but for simplicity sake, it could greatly improve player tactics as well as make your 1 action feel more valuable on turns when it seems there are no good choices, if the function were simplified to mean "Hold for target to enter range" or "Hold for target to step in this area"
