I'm playing a wizard and I found out that I was able to change my prepared spells on the fly. This is most likely just a bug, but I thought it was worth mentioning it just in case.
I have not tried this in combat. This might ring true for clerics too, but I have not tested that yet.
It is also true for clerics, and you can't change prepared spells in combat. I imagine this is either an intended adaptation in bringing D&D to a computer game, or implementing it so you can only change prepared spells on long rest is a mechanic they haven't prioritised for this stage.
I think they allowed it during early access so people can try spells without bothering much. It saves time to narrow down problems with spell animations, effects and so forth.
