I hope that in the final version it will be possible to recruit other characters besides the 5 origins.

This would make the game closer to BG style, and less to divinity.

It would also allow you to build the party in a freer way, both in terms of classes and "personality" of the characters, if we do not want to talk about alignment.

I'm hoping for the same thing. Part of what I loved about Baldur's Gate was all the companions you could recruit. I'm also hoping we meet some of these companions later on, rather than meeting them all right in act 1.

Agreed, more companions is a must. While I really like all the current companions, if the game is limited just to them, then replayability will suffer. There needs to be a greater diversity of personalities available as companions for each playthrough to feel truly unique.

There will be more companions/origins, it's been confirmed multiple times.
