I see a lot of posts where people think that camping too often should have consequences given the tadpole in the head thing, and I agree up to a point. But story-wise, I think camping every night works. For one, people can't hike over rough terrain, fight a large battle where wounds are taken, and not stop to rest. Tadpole aside, the body can't do it for long. Also, the story explains more than once that your tadpole is dormant in regards to ceremorphosis. It's acting on you in other ways, but it's most definitely not actively working to change you into a mind flayer. That's a big deal, and when we find out why that is, we'll probably be pretty far along in answering most of the plot mysteries. Point being, if the tadpole is dormant, resting shouldn't be penalized until the tadpole becomes active. And while I'm sure it's perfectly natural in this situation to be terrorized and push yourself as hard and fast as you can to get answers and solutions, there's only so much you can realistically do in one day anyway.
But as for being able to teleport right out of an enemy fortress, camp to full health, and come right back in where you left off and resume butt-kicking for goodness (or badness)? lol no
