Hi!
Not looking to get into any arguments with anyone at all. I love the game and have very very high hopes for the completed game and beyond.
I have 12 hours logged so far and I keep remaking parties so I really haven't gotten far at all.
Made my own custom 4-man party (4 separate clients connected by LAN, like DOS2)--Fighter, Ranger, Wizard, Cleric. (Level 3)

IMPRESSIONS
Love it so far--lots of choices to make in game and I can't wait to start a new story and I've barely just begun. Even with six different classes to choose from, your party make-up can be very versatile. Coming from DOS, I think incorporating jumping is an amazing tool. Incorporating all kinds of ability checks to discover things (just like in 5e) is extremely refreshing and a pretty decent change from DOS.
Really looking forward to the inclusion of bards, barbarians, paladins, druids, and sorcerers (if they are to be included).
I think the tutorial was a fantastic intro the game's mechanics, showing players they have choices to make, shouldn't always do things at random, etc. Had to learn how caustic brine affected players in the game, interesting.
Kept trying to kill the tutorial boss with my 4-man custom party, with Lae'zel and the intellect devourer--even with blessing the mind flayer still too difficult once he calls in his cambions.
Trying to remove the worm in your brains will be interesting... Can we stay a true soul forever? Will be fascinating to see and reeeeally looking forward to seeing how that plays out and how often you can use your illithid role to manipulate the story.

Knowing Larian, I know that eventually we'll be able to combine items (cooking, arrow making/dipping, alchemy [maybe not alchemy, may need an herbalism kit]). The crafting system in DOS was... not user friendly at all and honestly overwhelming considering that, naturally, parties horde hundreds of items. Looking forward to cooking.
Speaking with the undead is such a neat feature too. I haven't been able to fully figure it out yet (assuming that the souls stick around only around the time of death, since it looked like I couldn't talk to the two brothers (souls) who were looking for their sister.

All in all, I feel like I am faced with the constant dilemma of letting people live or die, as it can affect the future storyline. I love that feeling, that's what 5e is about, that's what DOS is about, the butterfly effect.

-Kind of rambled I think, can't say a whole lot because I haven't done a whole lot in my 12 hours of gameplay. I truly do believe that lots of the other "suggestions/complaining" forum posts and complaining are from 5e rule-lawyers or just from people who don't like the DOS engine, or are angry due to some feature that is present in literally every single RPG game in existence (looting boxes, inventory management, quick travel, idk...)
Still can't wait for the full release!

OTHER NOTES:
BUG (the only one worth mentioning for me)
I know there are some bugs currently (fight turn order freezing, no dialogue mouth movements, recently killed NPC ragdoll bugs, some minor character sheet bugs), but here is just one that I think very very few people have experienced:
With a 4-man custom character party, you cannot replace any members of your party with the premade ones at your camp. In order to find out what gear they had, I had to create a separate campaign with a 3-man party. With the 4-man I am referring to, you cannot dismiss any of your members and acquire the others--you simple cannot talk to your own party members or dismiss anyone if they are custom created. They just say something along the lines of "your party is full."
Here is why I say this:
Lae'zel has an amazing chest plate that is very helpful early on. I took it from her in the tutorial. And just recently I found that skeleton thing I chose not to kill in the crypt near the beach, he appeared at my camp and I have the ability to hire him currently for 200g, but my party is full. I can't see what class he is, what he is wearing, or anything, and I refuse to "google" things on this game.

Small bug, but oh well.

IMPROVEMENT (my single and only requested improvement)
-Look, any game could be improved. The one thing I'd like to see improved is the character sheet. Currently, viewing one's proficiencies in the character sheet is significantly limited.
If you click on an ability score, it will drop down and show you your modifiers for each skill check. (Helpful and good!)
Unfortunately it does not show you one's specific background, armor/weapon/toolkit proficiencies, or languages (don't know if that'll even be a thing in here).
Currently, as far as I am aware, to identify whether a character [EDIT: is proficient with can use] certain items is to hover over an equippable item with a character and view whether they are proficient with it.
Small improvement I think!
