They're supposed give you the ability to curse your attack targets with "bane" upon attack. However they ALSO curst YOU with bane on attack (both range and melee). It ends up being totally self defeating.

To clarify, the description on the item literally tells you that they curse you if you don't have the mark of the absolute

You need to get branded showing you to be a follower of The Absolute to use those awesome gloves.

I love these sorts of cursed items. I use them all the time in my own campaigns

I actually haven't used these yet because of the tooltip. I was holding on to them in case we get a companion who could use them.
