Larian Studios Forums Baldur's Gate III Baldur's Gate III - General I think Lae'zel is bugged.

I've been in 3 fights now where only Lae'zel has become completely useless. No matter what task I assign her to, she can't reach the target. So, I can have her try to shoot an arrow at a target, and when I click, it sits for a moment as if it's thinking, but then just goes back to targeting. So, I can try changing to throwing a bottle of Alchemists Fire. I select a target, click to throw, and.....Nothing. Thinks for a moment then backs out to waiting for me to pick something to do. I can be standing right beside a target and get the same results and it is ONLY happening with Lae'zel.

Update: she also can't cast beneficial spells on allys or drink potions for herself. Literally all I can do with her is move her around the map.

Is it possible that she fell prone and got back up ? There is a bug now where characters getting back up from prone can do pretty much nothing other than move a bit and sometimes they move back to where they fell.

Would that explain your case ?

Try restarting game and if that doesn't help, go back to earlier save. Or you can keep testing this bug as well, thanks for finding it, keep my game bug free
Never happened to me so far, I'm level 3 towards 4 now and Lae`zel always in party.

Off-hand I don't recall if she fell prone at any point. I'll keep my eyes on that aspect to see if it relates.

Reloading a save can make redoing a fight work out so it's not a critical bug, but is pretty annoying. I also haven't made a note yet whether she was able to fight at all when this happens or if it kicks it after a couple rounds. Will watch out for that as well.

I think this is a bug but not specific to Lae'zel. I've had it happen twice to my pc and at least once to Wyll.

I think the jury is still out whether the tadpole actually gives you some superpowers.
