Grease spell has DC 12. That is less than my casters' Spell DC (13 or 14)

You can't stop grease from being casted. The dc is the ground effect and is independent of your spell dc and makes sense, you aren't forcing anyone to slip, merely aiding the possibility.

But the the description says that I cover ground in Grease. That's why it becomes difficult terrain.
So why I couldn't provide more slippery Grease?

Of course if only rules dont't say the oppisite. I tried to find but couldn't.
