I already posted about some of these problems earlier, but since then ive experienced more problems, and as of right now im simply going to wait until i know if theres a new patch on the way anytime soon before i continue playing. ive started about 5 times and am experiencing different bugs each time and im currently trying to play on a fresh install, and brand new game with version 1.42. But the following problems still persist..
-the summoning dolls inventory causes the game to crash. -the summoning dolls stats dont always change back when items are unequipped. -you cant give certain items to the summoned skeleton via the handy little drop down panel. -the music plays 2 scores of seperate music over each other, totally ruining the music. -the battlefields maps blackout everything except the starting camp when you return back to the battlefields, which is really annoying when trying to navigate. They load up as you walk through the relevant areas, but thats not the point. -Im not too sure if this is a bug or not, but as far as i can tell the FSAA isnt really working, and the configuration menu always says its on 0. -And last but not least the bone spear rings...but that doesnt really bother me.
My main gripes are with the summoning doll, the music, and the battlefields maps. I simply want to know if there IS a patch on the way, and if it will solve these problems. I dont mind how long i have to wait, just tell me if theres a patch on its way larian!

Of course there is, and some if not all of the issue will be fixed in this one or in a next one ... we talking about Larian you know, and they have a small team still working hard on patching
Btw the FSAA shows always 0 when you reload it, but i think it is saved correctly. One thing not to forget is that if you disabled AA in the gfx card control panels, you can put whatever you want in the game config it wont do any diff. Normally if AA is activated you wont get a little screen next to the savegame

i know that there will be eventually, i just want to know if these problems will be solved anytime soon! im not complaining about Larian, i think its great how hard they work to support their games, its just theres been no word about a fix for any of these problems. Mainly i just want to know if its worth me battling through the game now or waiting till the problems are fixed. Im just getting a bit fed up, as i know beyond divinity is an amazing game.

Some bugs you mentioned will be addressed in the next patch. We are indeed working on it and would like to test it thoroughly before releasing it

On the one hand, it would show players that you're busy at work, which not all seem to realize. On the other, I admit that some people will scream if their favorite issues aren't being addressed. It's up to you. Good luck, regardless.

of course i realise that they are hard at work, i think its great how well larian are supporting the game! It's a little less great that the game came out so thoroughly unbalanced and bug ridden, however. I'm sympathetic to a point, but I've quit playing the game utterly until these errors can be fixed. It's too late for me to return the game to where I bought it from, which is a pity -- because paying $40 for an unplayable game isn't exactly my idea of a sound gaming investment.

yep im laying the game to rest for the time being, until i can play it properly. it sucks, i got divine divinity months after its release so that was only ever smooth sailing for me with no problems. So coming to this and having so many problems really sucks. i know itll be worth the wait though.

I'm with Bif. Although not quite totally unplayable it is absolutely bug-ridden. That's my, and from the number of posts on the Technical Problems board MANY other peoples, reality.
When I can play it I really like the game. But man, the bugs are killing me. I lost at least an hour again last night when a save game became corrupted and wouldn't load. Then, I reloaded the one previous to it thinking it would have to be ok (silly me) and then about 1 minute into playing that save game, no matter what I did, it would crash to the desk top. I had to go back 2 save games before I could make progress again.
The game was obviously rushed out and then so were the patches. I appreciate the fact they are patching it as fast as they can but when the patches cause as many problems as they fix is it really worth it?
To anyone who thinks this is the "norm" for a game go play knights of the old republic. Not only is it an awsome game but I played through it twice without a single issue.
