I'm having a major problem with this game. Don't get me wrong I love it but I am extremely frustrated. Everything was great until I got toward the end of Act II. Recently I have had a couple of really bad errors. The first occured when I was down in the cave with the 5 scary statues. I had saved my game and then quit for the day, when I came back the next day only two of the statues were still there. All of the rest of the statues disapered, nowhere to be found. This quest was a minor annoyance since it was not a required one. But, the major issue that I have is at the end of act II. Asmodeus has requested my presense and of course you can't refuse him. Everytime I say yes or he forcefully makes me visit him the game crashes straight back to Windows half way through the loading screen. Since this is a required quest I am totally stuck. Please help!!!!

That is when the cutscene comes up for the end of act 2. I had the same thing happen at the end of act 1. Only the 1.42 patch allowed me to continue with the game. If you have not yet patched to 1.42, you may need to to continue.

One other option is to use the configuration tool to reset the resolution to 640x480 until after the cutscene is over. This is suppose to be a way around resolution reset problems with windows 98. If you don't have windows 98 it should not be a problem. It did not help me when I had the same problem at the end of act I (I have windows xp).

Yes, I have fully patched the game up to version 1.42. I am running Windows XP and switching the resolution down to 640 X 480 doesn't help. I have tried removing all of my background programs, such as virus protection and firewall and nothing has worked. I hope someone has a suggestion that will work.
