I wrote this poem and didn't know where to submit it. I sent an e-mail, haven't received a reply, so I thought I'd post it here and share it with the community. If anyone knows where I should send it, please let me know so I can take care of that. Otherwise, I hope you enjoy reading it as much as I enjoyed writing it.
"From Baldur's Gate to Waterdeep,
For gold and silver, or relics to keep,
From the City of Amn and the Icy Dale.
A call for heroes, there are monsters to fell.
Hordes of orcs and massive trolls,
Ogres, giants, and yipping gnolls,
Villains arise for greed or power,
Threatening to herald Faerûn's darkest hour,
Ancient dragons with deadly fire,
There is no doubt our situation is dire,
Godlike offspring, armies of evil,
We need heroes for great upheaval.
Whether Human, Dwarf, or simple Halfings,
Elf, Half-orcs, Githyanki, or Tieflings,
Fight for honor, for glory, for treasure,
To prove your skill, or the thrill of adventure.
Paladin, Monk, Barbarian, or Fighter,
Pick up your weapons, prepare for danger,
Sword or axe, polearm or shield,
Your strength will help us clear the field.
Ranger, Cleric, Rogue, or Bard,
Without you, our road will be hard.
Longbow or mace, a spell or dagger,
Heal and steal, make our enemies stagger.
Sorcerer, Warlock, Druid, or Wizard
Prepare your spells, conjure a blizzard,
Magic from Gaia, Mystra, Demons or Fae,
Cast Eldritch blast, Fireball, or Slay.
Heroes from across the land,
Heed our call, adventure's at hand,
Come one and all, take up this quest,
Save Faerûn and prove you're the best." -Lady Ithinari
