OP Orbax old hand Joined: Oct 2020	I am pick pocketing and every single roll is D20-5 + prof + dex mod. Cant figure out where the -5 is coming from as its linked to the D20 roll itself, not any skills he has.. What is the problem you are solving? Does your proposed change solve the problem? Is your change feasible? What else will be affected by your change? Will your change impact revenue? Does your change align with the goals and strategies of the organizations (Larian, WotC)?

He doesn't have any status markers on him that says hungry, -5 to all checks or anything. Is there a place you can check that? What is the problem you are solving? Loki the Cat journeyman L Joined: Sep 2017	Padded Cloth, has some stealth issues, applying Disadvantage because its "Clunky?" switch him to Leather asap, but maybe it also hurts pickpocketing?

That sounds possible. The -5 is still weird though. It sounds like they are using the passive rules for disadvantage and advantage and applying it to the sleight of hand check instead of the NPCs passive check.
