I'm sure a lot of people might be thinking the same thing I am; where are all the spells?

I understand only the Player's Handbook races (For now) will be implemented, but what about spells?
The spells feel so limited right now, I hope that's due to them being incomplete/not fully designed and implemented, and not by choice.

For example, I've done multiple runs so far, and I find I choose the exact same spells with Shadowheart/Gale every time.
We need things like Aganazzar's Scorcher, and Tidal Wave, and Erupting Earth. Dragon's Breath, Ice Knife, Knock, Wall of Water, etc. Having just the Player's Handbook's spells feels very restrictive, because not all of them are even implemented. Elemental Evil spells would be great, because they're mostly damage spells.

The one big one I've felt most is Spiritual Weapon. Nothing about this spell says it's limited to specific Domains in the Player's Handbook, yet Shadowheart is missing out on it entirely. With how squishy she is, she desperately needs it.
This is arguably the most important spell for Clerics to deal damage in combat, while filling their supportive role. It's in the Player's Handbook, but it's missing.

Again, I hope it's due to it just not being finished, and not because they decided "Ahhhh it's not important/players won't miss it.".

Can anyone confirm/deny that it's just because these specific spells haven't been implemented yet? Some kind of datamining or links to dev quotes?
Anyone feel like we need more spell diversity?

I'm with you. The diversity is gone with the dnd changes. The devs did want to streamline and make combat faster, but at what cost? And I really cannot see them going back, as all the dnd people will raise more pitch forks, demands strick dnd rules, while force feeding you their rule book. I seen several people commenting on classes and their 'bread and butter' skill, one skill that they only use... Yeah that does not excite me.

That aside, the game is not complete in nearly all aspects, and much more is going to be added, including skills and abilities. I assume that's why the level up screen is kinda scuffed and the order of things are not consistent.

I'd love to see the slew cantrips added as well. I'm running through now as a cleric and my only damage cantrip is Sacred Flame - one of the most resisted saves in the game (Dex). Xanathar's and Sword Coast Adventurer's Guide have so many better cantrips to choose from.
