A strange point of interest is for instance that there are lots of deaths where you first meet Gale. Maybe people don’t like being ambushed by a spooky wizard jumping out of a rock? Something to investigate.

People are dying at that line of fire near Gale. The PC jumps over, the NPCs walk into the fire and death follows. See the party movement thread.

I was in coop and my character was lying o nthe ground making death saves while my coop buddy was stuck in dialogue with gale and couldn't help me. MY character died before he got out of dialogue.

Bonus points if triggering the conversation and having to go through it is precisely what's freezing the NPC right on top of a flame, leading to death.

Party control in Baldur's Gate 3 is a complete mess that begs to be addressed. SAY NO TO THE TOILET CHAIN

I want to clarify.. I have had 4 or 5 characters die to Gales necrotic aura after he dies. It isn't obvious especially for new players, and especially when you're dragged into a long dialogue where you have to try to memories a bunch of nonsense instructions, and then all of a sudden you're back i nthe game thinking "whoa, what happened" and then next minute.. you're dead.

Screw Gale and his eating disorder.

Necromancy is just recycling...
