Larian Studios Forums Beyond Divinity (English) Technical Problems Hermit & Battlefield - Act II

Every time I try to get the necklace for the Hermit, I get kicked to the desktop. I can enter the "hole" fine, can walk around until I get near the chest. As soon as I get a step or two from the chest I get kicked.

Also - I have the Battlefield key, but have not been able to enter the Battlefield at all during this act.

(I am not waiting for a patch or fix - I'll just continue on. I have to say that if this game had come out before DD, I would never have played DD.)

Are you just getting near the chest or running your cursor over when you crash? They have fixed a bug moving the cursor over containers with magical items, which will be in the next patch, and have requested a save from someone getting a crash at a certain location, so will hopefully fix that as well. You could email them your save, or check if they want/need it.
If the next patch comes out before you finish act 2, you could go back for the amulet (there was some other good loot there as well, in my game, in addition to the quest reward you can get).

I crashed to desktop either when I got too near the chest OR the cursor went near it. (Not necessarily OVER it - just NEAR it.)

That was basically the last thing I had to do in Act II. I moved on to Act III.

I have several things left from Act II, a big disappointment: the Imp wouldn't take the Potion, so I have that. The "special spider" never appeared so I have the creams. The "mummy" wasn't there (or maybe I missed him - by that time, I was a bit disgusted).

The 'mummy' queen spider drops a demon summoning doll, as well as a cure for the imp that the imp patrol asked you to rescue.
