Update is failing with GOG Galaxy because "Not enough free disk space", 80 GB of free space (on top of the 88 GB already taken by the game) are not enough... is that a patch or a new install?
That was fortunate then. But still, this problem will likely remain on GOG, any idea of the size of this patch? I suppose it won't change much once those last issues sorted out.
Does anyone know if that solves the "game won't start" blocking issue? From the release notes, it doesn't seem so.
The patch creates a complete new patched copy of the game. While doing so the original install is left intact. Therefore the patch will anyhow need an extra 80GB
Thanks, well, that's for much, much later then, I don't have the bandwidth for that now. Anyway GOG refuses to download anything, so it will have to be a new re-install.
Hi, perhaps someone here can tell me what the problem is. It fits to this thread because I also want to update my bg3 client via gog (manual, not galaxy).
So I downloaded the patch bins and the application and startet it - it told me there is not enough free disk space. After cleaning up my drive there was over 400 GB free space, but still the update can't be done. Now I took a closer look to the message itself and still I'm in doubt if I get the message on the display right.
It says there is 944776 MB of free disk space needed. I wanted to upload the screenshot I took of the message but it seems it is not possible in this forum. Can that be true? To update a game which is about 130 GB I need almost a full TB free disk space? My SSD has 1 TB and it's the only drive in my computer, Windows needs some of the space and not to forget the 88 GB for the update itself. Am I the only one who thinks it is crazy that an update needs more than 10 times of free space of its size itself?
