I am not trying to be critical in this, however, I think the size of the gore and blood pools is unrealistically too large. I think if the original splattering was a good 60% less, it would help a bunch, and then the pooling could be stretched over a longer period of time, to better simulate spillage.
I know bodies bleed excessively, however, the puddles I see IRL and in game are drastically different.
There were a few games I could think of, but postal and dead rising had the more subdued, more immersive experience from my perspective. Yes, they go over the top on volume overall, however, per actor and action, it was much more immersive than what I see here in BG3.
