Howdy all.

I can't believe I have to ask this, but how the heck do you activate Witch Bolt after you cast it on something? I tried clicking what looked like a second spell button but it just ended up using another spell slot like I cast it a second time. Kind of confusing. Also, is there a way to 'Hold Action'? Thanks all.

No way to hold action. to activate it you have to go to the second Witch bolt. It'll have a different text to it if you hover over it. Click it and it activates, same with other spells you can activate/recast like Hex. if you (not saying you don't) have your toolbar filled with your stuff, then it will be at the end. since it goes to first open space in tool bar

And there's a little + and - to change the size of your toolbar. Both standard and reaction sections
