So on my first playthrough my party consist of Lae'zel, Shadowheart, and Gale. I didn't bother with Astarion or Wyll. Astarion I was afraid that he would start killing people in the camp being a vampire and all that and Wyll, well by that time I had a full party. I am doing my adventuring and killed the 3 goblin leaders in the goblin camp. I decided to go camping and Wyll shows up in my camp? I mean I didn't invite him or talk to him, yet he has the balls to get mad at me that I went and killed the goblins without him. He then treats me that we knew each other? Just because you maybe saw me on the mindflayers ship doesn't make us pals. I mean he could of gone over to the goblin camp but no he gets mad at me.
The reason I bring it up because it is a slight annoyance I have. DOS2 had the same thing happen. At one point the members that I didn't have in my party all get mad at me because I didn't save them, but it isn't my fault the developer wrote the story to kill you off. I mean I am only allowed to take 3 people along with me so the rest are pretty much screwed over. So back to Wyll. What should of happen was that he introduce himself and apologize for crashing my camp with his presence uninvited. I mean Halsin the druid leader asks to come with you and even asks if he can show up at my camp for the celebration.
I do however find it odd that Astarion didn't show up at the camp but Wyll did? I guess what I am getting at is that I really wished they would write the characters base on your interaction with them. If I don't talk to you, than we are strangers and doesn't give you the right to scold me for not taking you along.
Sorry I hope that is constructive feed back

What would be nice is that after X number of nights they go back to a specific place (like wyll in the grove etc) and they live their life without worrying about us (no approval/disapproval) but if we come back to see them they take out a sentence that depends on the last relationship with us (like a reminder : good, average, neutral etc) and we start influencing them again.

Sorry I hope that is constructive feed back kill him, or beat him unconscious! He's just jealous, and acting petty because of it! Oh his poor bruised ego, he loafed around while you went and did all the heavy lifting, then he came and cried about it uninvited. Yup, beat him down, and strip him naked to teach him respect.

I completely agree with OP. That doesn't make sense.
Also when sending companions away to camp, they are very annoying with their lines. More reason to pick just 3 and forget about the rest.
But if they show up uninvited and start scenes like these, maybe it's the best to just kill them off. I already just do that with Astarion in every playthrough, without even talking a single word. With Wyll maybe I will just take him into a goblin battle and leave him dead, that's good enough death for the "hero".

Its not a bug, its rather bad linear writing. You are forced to witness some ones power fantasy or story rather then make your own. In this case the writer is forcing it upon you.

I'm starting to get really annoyed and rather uncomfortable with all the things the writers are forcing onto us. Wyll randomly just shows up at the camp to berate you for not taking him along? Seriously? Another one being that while we're supposedly able to do either a good or an evil path, the evil path has literally nothing except a buggy sex scene going for it, no real motivation to go be evil while the good path has all kinds of incentives to entice you down that road. And now from what I'm hearing, our custom PC's are going to have a backstory entirely written for them? Are we going to get at least some kind of control over anything to do with their backstory, like where they're from or what they used to do? Even DOS2 at least had a weird tags system that gave you more options in dialogue based on what tags you picked, but in BG3 there's nothing? Just seems weird to me that I have no say at all in my custom made characters background in what is supposed to be a D&D game, you know the game all about making a character the way you want and then playing as them? I'm not expecting to be able to make their entire backstory up myself or something, but at least a little bit of say in my characters background would be nice. Hard to call them my character if the only influence I have on them is their hairstyle basically.

i have similar beef with Nettie, i killed her and i didn't even have an option to tell Halsin that Nettie "had an accident, work related", (and she was like McCoy on Enterprise, everyone would miss McCoy), what worse nobody acknowledges her death, guess what, your main healer is dead let's see what happens when you all need a doctor
