That is all.

No one group of humans IRL has ever asked to be depicted as elves, orcs, goblins or anything else as such.

There is nothing more or less positive about having my racial features depicted as a dwarf or a gibberling.

Stop misappropriating ethnic people in such a harmful way. None of us want our features being abused in such a way to depict any form of non human characters.

Stop relying on polls and opinions that are mostly ran and answered by white people to determine what other white people think that non white people want.

Larian have stated that they are making the non-human races in this game resemble real world people, and it is already evident in their pre selection of player character faces.

WOTC have already done similar by likening real world racism to their non human races such as orcs and kobolds which had their negative traits removed as a result.

At no point have these decisions been made based on, or consulted what non white people actually think about in relation to their features being depicted or likened to such fantasy races.

For the most part, no one ever cared the slightest until they started all this fake concern to try and pander to SJW and far left nonsense.

Original Poster is out of their minds. They talk about "no one group of humans IRL...". OP you are treating all people of color as monolithic and claim that Larian is doing this and say don't do this.

There is no greater erasure of people of color than by making all non-human races white. Stop claiming dominion over the features of BIPOC. I should make a character that I feel connected to and looks like me.

Where did I say 'make all non humans white'?

This isnt just about selecting a skin colour.

Non human races are not depicted based on white people either, or do you want to tell me what part of drow and orcs you consider to be white?

I already did that and my comment was removed so I made a separate thread about it.

The thread on elves is just about elves.

This thread is about non white people being depicted as orcs, kobolds, dwarves, drow, goblins etc etc etc that both Wotc and now Larian keep on doing.

I'm older and don't know the meaning of some of these terms, but it seems to me that people that use the term 'SJW' as a pejorative are vile people that will burn in hell per Matthew 25's admonition against the poor treatment of Jesus' "least of his brothers". I will gleefully watch that burning. Jesus commands you ALL to be SJWs. Like it or burn.

Maybe I meant to say ' Gaslighting Karens' instead because that is what such people are.

What's wrong with non-white people being depicted as a fantasy creature? So, are you saying only white people can look like elves, drow, dwarves, ect.? Be careful not to sound like you are being prejudice towards minorities. I don't see anything wrong with minorities being represented in fantasy races. Take Star Trek as an example, Vulcans were first seen as only white and now they have Asian and black Vulcans but Star Trek fans don't care because at the end of the day they are still Vulcan.

I very specifically said all humans should not be depicted as fantasy creatures.

Stop trying to imagine loopholes to discredit or gaslight my concerns.

I am not an orc thanks.

Simply choosing a shade of skin colour has nothing at all to do with what I stated.

If you could point out where these depictions start I would be very grateful.

For instance, orcs are closer to Germanic/northern European barbarians tribes\Vikings cultures and I see no resemblance in looks or culture to any other ethnicity other than white people....
Dwarfs, again, are closer to Welsh people (my native people) who tend to be short, drink a lot and love mining. I can't say us welsh love mining but we do love drinking so....
Elves from tolkens world had their language derived from the welsh and their culture was based on old druidic folklore if my memory servers (could be wrong) of which Gary Gygax, the creator of D&D took heavy inspiration
Kobolds bare no resemblance to any race other than some cross between lizards and dogs.

Please, enlighten me? As I can not seem to find any resemblance between the races of D&D and physical traits associated various human ethnicity.

I'm not sure this is going to end well, especially considering another post I had to remove lately. This ground is already mostly covered in another topic anyway.
