I've successfully run around as a solo warlock avoiding battle engagements but fully engaging in dialog.

There are several instances where I get misattributed as engaging in combat when I have avoided it. (such as druids thanking me for fighting off Gobs - you could argue their intel was just bad but demanding I am let through for saving the grove feels a little off)

but the Biggest problem is double Auntie Ethel. If the brothers decide to fight you and you run past them, she will be at her hut and assume you've killed them in her dialogue. Returning to the brothers, Ethel is still there hoping to be saved despite also being at her hut.

I think a lot of quests didn't expect the player to straight up run away.

It certainly feels like Larian wants to reward players for thinking outside of the box so tactical withdrawal and evasion needs to be a possibility in the quest logic.

Aunti Ethel seems to get around a bit.

File that under the bugs, and as much as it could be seen that it is steered towards combat, none of this is locked in. So feedback the desire to have non-combat methods of progress. It IS a viable method of play.
