Sometimes attacks of opportunity and other reactions fire away as they should, other times they don't. Sometimes I get the colossus slayer effect and damage, other times I don't. Sometimes I even get it when I shouldn't get it, but mostly I just don't get them at all.

i can tell you now they work well above average for the enemies.

I barely ever get attacks of opportunity on enemies I've noticed... No disengage message or anything.

On the other hand it's possible to literally strafe 360 degrees around an enemy without triggering a attack of opportunity. Just zoom in and place the cursor in different positions around the enemy and observe the movement line. If there is no red attack of opportunity arrow visible, you can usually safely move there despite being right next to the enemy. I quite often use this to position my character after attacking to push the enemy off a ledge or into a whichever puddle of fire, acid and death is nearby... And there is always one near by...
