This is about the teahouse so full spoilers, if you don't know about it, don't read on, thank you.
Now, on to the teahouse. The inside, the actual lair is probably one of the worst game designs I have EVER seen. Like holy moly. You have, poison everywhere.
So lets see why this is terrible. One, you can't turn off the "vents" or rocks or w/e by throwing stuff at it (i tried) UNTIL you character does some sort of perception check I assume? But the the check doesn't happen until you step into the poison cloud. Does the game expect me to do that for every fog before a possible boss fight? Next is jumping. Half the time jumping doesn't work, especially since it's tied to your strength, so am what am i supposed to do with my mages? They can't jump as far as some, AND by the time you do eventually get down with the jumping, my characters were almost dead because of the fall dmg with prone and etc.
Am I supposed to be wasting spell slots on featherfall and/or longstrider? Or am I supposed to be wasting spell slots on Create Water after I use a firebolt to take out the poison, and then rush through before it coms back?
Is there any other....SANE way to get through that I possible missed? Because right now from what I've seen, it is terrible. I have no idea who designed it but they should go back and rethink this. Like....wow.

I was able to guess where they were and chuck stuff and choke them off. If you do that I think its all ladders the way down. I mean, you could always just get ridiculous and light it on fire and throw water on it and run in to perceive. You can also cast resistance to poison, give yourself a spell that helps on saving throws to take a look. Im actually curious as I type this if something like grease bottles would clog it up (probably not, but hey). But yeah, I was able to get through it ezpz lemon squeezy by having a handy inventory of crap loot I didnt care about. I think after she dies it all goes away, but dont hold me to that, so you can get your stuff back. Hmm,,,I wonder if she dies and you put her masks on if it lets you be immune to that stuff to, if you needed retrieval.
The poison doesnt do too much damage so you can also just run through and eat some food and youre topped off again. I had to stop and think on it for a while too. You can light candles on the platforms that always make it on fire incase someones immune haha
What is the problem you are solving? Does your proposed change solve the problem? Is your change feasible? What else will be affected by your change? Will your change impact revenue? Does your change align with the goals and strategies of the organizations (Larian, WotC)?

Wait is this about the hag's dungeon? Where you have to descend but your path is blocked by poison? Pretty sure the jumps actually work. There seems to be a path your char will take that is somewhat poison free and allows you to jump from one platform to another. I should know, my whole party was made of STR 8 weaklings. You might get like 3 poison damage for some, that i couldn't avoid, but nothing that would kill you.

I just cast featherfall and jumped all the way down. You can also explode the poison with fire, cast create water, and walk through. Or take a potion of fire resistance and just run through. The damage isn't all that much. I tried to conserve my spells as much as possible, because I knew the hag fight was going to be intense, but there's lots of ways to handle it.
...I ended up pushing the hag off the edge, so all my spell saving was useless anyway.

Half the time jumps weren't working for me, would just say "too far" or something with my wizard due to low strength i assume?
As for create water, like I said, I shouldn't have to waste 3-4 spell slots on using create water on different locations of poison to fire puddles. Especially before a boss fight.

Well, if you take the staff that casts it ....the spell slot resets per person. So you just pass it around for free!

Didn't think about passing the staff, but really if you have to go so far, then the room does need to be looked at again and be...sort of redesigned.

Like....wow. There's a jump path that works all the way down at 8str. However there is some mild falling damage that can be fixed with food. first cloud you can just edge around the side of it, then rather than using the ladder (I accidentally set this ladder on fire...), you can jump down in front of the second cloud (this is where you will take falling damage). Then you walk down vines almost as far as you can, and jump across to another, ungassed platform. You can then walk right up to the last gas cloud and just jump over it at a narrow point and into the boss fight room.

I have to admit, there is a part of me that likes having to do weird, stupid crap to accomplish things. For all I know there is a lever somewhere that turns it off that I never looked for. I always try the hard version first and then realize it was something super easy
