Hi,

I have been reading a lot of reviews and I gather BG III is on the right track of becoming a great game.

I hope however they will implement a correct difficulty system in the end, and this was my suggestion (apologies if it has been suggested in depth):

To have a difficulty level, very hard, where you can't save scum. If you die, you come back to the last auto-save point.

This means there will be other difficulty levels, where you can save scum, and try again at a dice roll you want to try.

But with the hardest difficulty level, we would be most in line with hardcode DnD rule, where once you make a decision, it is final.

You could also refrain from loading a quick save, that is true, but this way we would have a locked difficulty level, where you won't be having the knowledge that you can try it again, even if you don't want to. It would make the playing experience that much more enjoyable for the real DnD players.

What do you guys and girls think?

An Ironman mode as an option would be okay. I'd never play it for several reasons including the fact that it just takes the one save file you have being corrupted and you lose your whole game, to also not really liking when a dialogue punishes you for bad luck instead of your actual choices. But I can see how some people would appreciate it.
