Does it work to get you into the goblin camp as a non drow without needing to smear warg dung on your face?

only if they believe you are a True soul. for that your perception has to work and the tapole has to speak trough you with the word Authority and roll the dice. ... i hope this is not a spoiler.

I thought drow were able to get in without needing the tadpole or worg dung.

i played the scene several times, if i make mistakes in the dialogue they will not recognize me as a true soul and attack me. you can by-pass the tap-hole and use the racial option and just treaten them. but you cannot treat them twice only one- or use the mind control. .... i played this game to many times.... i so ffar went to the party. drow is defenetly my favorite race to play evil and tiefling to be the hero.

Edit: with the tiefling i made a deal with Sazza who is in the cage on the grove.

Warg dung? What’s this? I snuck my way in and ended up slaughtering all of the goblins, so I never found out the prerequisites for entering the camp normally.

I tried all the options except drow already you see, from what I heard drow were meant to get a free ticket into the goblin camp.

Sorry for the spoiler, I didn't think it was that major as its just one of the ways to get in ...

Without using the tadpole or fighting, you have to pass a skill roll then smear warg dung over your face as warpaint to get in.

I never tried using the spell, but I could get in as a drow on my prev playthrough. What I tried doing was disguise self as a drow and talking to companions, but for some reason it breaks the disguise. Will reload that prev save of mine and test it.

Nah, that’s cool. I would never have done that, so I don’t mind that spoiler. I’m replaying with an arcane trickster, so I’m going to see if I can be a bit more surreptitious this time. I’ll try going in disguised as a Drow. But if they ask me to smear poop on myself it’s going to be a goblin bloodbath all over again.

Transformed my high elven wizard into a drow and it worked LMAO. He just said 'drow coming through' and told his pet to stand down. Very interesting, will abuse that next run, altho fighting these gobbos is more fun, not to mention EVERY party member (but Shadowheart ofc) approves if you shove the shit in their faces so...

Perhaps my favorite character to play on tabletop is a warlock with the mask of many faces. That might be what I settle on for BG3 if there is more of this stuff in it.

Thanks for testing it, I've been wasting time testing the game on my min spec PC today so didn't play much of the content.

I really hope they add a lot more stuff like this in the game where the disguise spell will come in handy, also if they add the Assassin specialization I hope it will be possible to disguise as NPCs (Imagine becoming Princess Gut or the Drow in the camp).

Yeah drow can just waltz on in since there is a drow leading all of them. Definitely going to be a drow bard on official launch.

It works on the usual entrance point to the first village, however I tried going around to the side entrance and theres no script to let Drow in at that part.

The disguise also lasts until your next long rest so Gale can go prancing around as a Drow lady all day long.

You should deffo also try disguise self: githyanki on the githyanki patrol from Lae's questline. It has some really cool unique dialogue. laugh

I’ll try this when I get there. I’m so glad one of my favorite abilities is part of this game.

One problem I found when using it on Gale, it ends if you speak to him. I'll put it in the bugs subforums.

I'll definitely be playing Drow (Sorc probably) due to how many cool options they have in Act 1, maybe it'll continue for the rest of the game. Good Person Drow instead of evil lol
