As Baldur's Gate 3 is set after the events of Descent into Avernus, which occur in 1494 DR, the game should take place in the same or later years.
However there is reference in game to the current year being 1492 DR? This is in the Tollhouse ledger located in the building where Anders, Sword of Tyr, is.
Haven't been able to find any other references in game to the current year, but based on this the timeline is wrong.
