I want to thank Larian studios for making this wonderful game and taking feedback well and doing their best. I think the game has a lot of potential and is really fun already.

I think a roadmap would be really cool and I hope we can test more of the game and classes so we can give more feedback!

Spoilers Ahead

Cimematics
Most of the cut scenes look amazing and are enjoyable to watch there are some that are bugged out and some dialog cutscenes that look really weird sometimes but the game is beautiful.

Story
I am enjoying the story so far and I like all the companions besides shadowheart, I don't really understand her at all sometimes she cares about you and the party and sometimes shes just mean and is hateful and maybe her story going through the game will be more fleshed out.

Character Creation
Im sure there is going to be more variety coming and I hope so, I think being able to see a list of abilities that a specific class and subclass gets at what levels at character creation would be awesome and the ability to pick starting equipment.

Party
4-6 Party I could care less however I dont expect or want the studio to have to spend even more time balancing the game because people want 6 party members when you can replay the game and enjoy having the other stories. Sure let people have 6 members if they want but dont expect it to be balanced or just stick with 4.

Combat
I don't want to say all the bugs and everything else that others have posted so I'm just pointing out things I haven't seen or things that I belive are important.

Combat is easy in my opinion, however I have alot of experience with these games so I hope there is a harder difficulty. The only fights I had problems with my 4 person party was Figthing the Gilth doing Laezel's quest which just basically was just them having 2 actions per turn telepoting on top of the lower armor class people and just killing my lower armor class partymembers. The Minataurs are a good challenge. The Spiderfight is cool until the boss just frenzied and did like 3 attacks in a row. You can solo most of EA with an Eldrich Knight which if people want to see I can post the videos but I don't think its necessary.

All of the fights in early access can be made easy by Shoving and Thunderwave.

Some of the fights just there is too many enemies which can be really fun but also can just take a long time and be really frustrating especially at this level because there is not a lot of options for what we can do and the classes are limited it feels bad after a couple turns and you have to just auto attack.

I hope more abilities are added to all classes earlier on

Lower the power of shove at least, and throw being on the action bar is unnecessary and should be replaced with a proper disengage and Jump needs to be nerfed in combat.

The bosses just having a lot of hp and the ability to multiattack and kill a lot of people who are close to them just feel bad, basically all you have to do is just keep them away from you and its easy.

I think a way to balance this would be for more variety of enemies and give enemies interesting abilities not just multiattacks and a lot of damage and hp.

Not sure if this is a bug or intended or was actually looked at but "pass without a trace for trickster clerics and be used and have the party be stealthed and attack the enemy from range and stay stealthed and keep attacking until they die never starting combat.

Stealth attack pretty much works all the time don't know if its intended but definitely overpowered.

There should be throwing weapons like handaxe javalin and spears and have an action ability to throw them as of right now none of the tool tips on those weapons show they can be thrown and throwing them using the action is no different than throwing any other weapon.

On higher difficulties I hope rest is lowered so we cant just infinitely rest all the time it will make it a bit more interesting, but as of right now its not fun going into a fight as a wizard and having to just cast cantrips all the time mabe disable rest in certain dungeons earlier that way you have to do a couple combat encounters before you can rest.

AI just target the lowest armor class, on one hand makes sense they try to pick off the easier targets on the other hand its frustrating.

TLDR: Combat can be cheesed and easy depending on different factors and I think classes need more fun abilities and things to do besides auto attack in larger fights and enemies to have more interesting things.

I will probably have more things but I mostly wanted to address combat.

Thanks for reading.

I'm curious what build and basic strategy you used.

So I did a Githyanki, drop Charisma, Intelligence and Wisdom pump STR Dex and Con STR17 Con 15 Dex 14 then Int will be at 9 then Wis and Char 8 you can choose of the 2 to put to 10 I chose Charisma to have better talking, rush through use a longsword and a bow there are a couple ways to cheese the Ruins, then the goblin fight do your best but the enemies will kill all the npcs first by the time you get to the gate you will be 3 mostly use magic missle and Thunderwave. You can get the intel headband from the 3 trolls really early on to bring intelligence to 18 and by level 4 you will have 18Str and 16 con and 18 intel 14 dex and 10 char and 8 wisdom and its just a lot of misty step and waiting to use thunderwave to knock as many enemies off ledges and using action surge and magic missle to kill targets. resting a lot to keep your spell slots and being patient and waiting. Also use Leazel's Chest piece just steal it from her in the tutorial ship. Most fights just require you to stay back wait for enemies to group up lead them to ledges and blast them off. For smaller fights you can just use double magic missle and then just use a great or longsword to finish enemies.

The reason ppl don't max int is because of the stat boosting items but you have to plan over that. Nothing matters much though when you have too many cheeses and most classes almost feel like the same.

So I haven't reached the spider fight just yet because I've been exploring around somewhat randomly, but if the spider boss only gets 3 attacks after it frenzies at some point in combat then that sounds annoying but also like a cool evolution to the fight. Like you've damaged the boss so much that it's fighting wildly now, though they should lower it's chance to hit if they're going to raise it's number of attacks to kind of show that it's just in a blind rage now. Anyway, my point here is that a boss fight in one area only has a triple attack after fighting it for a bit, which throws the Gnolls you fight even higher up the list of "BS enemies" because they get a triple attack right away and every single one of the bastards has it.

Larian, nerf the Gnolls.

Ya exactly especially in larger fights, all classes pretty much just end up auto attacking.
