Hi,

enjoyed my first playthrough immensely. Starting second playthrough today, so I'm 'dumping' my notes from 1st playthrough here right now hehe

(Chances are I'm repeating a lot of stuff that has already been brought up in this forum)

Controls / Party Management
Managing party movement sometimes feel very clunky. Especially punishing near enemy camps, or dangerous terrain. Example: when entering Goblin Camp from the right side with using jump, Astarion kept on charging into the camp on his own, just to ‘follow’ my wizard.
After a few more incidents, I made a habit of unlinking party when I was making any jump.

Controls: A request to add option to keybind the basic attack options, and all the interactive bonus action options (dip, jump etc.).

Bugs
After killing Priestess Gutt, and Droz Ragzin, and choosing the Raid the Grove option at the drow cleric, I lost my Silvanus’ Grove waypoint.
Upon killing an enemy, their corpses sometimes make strange animations. This was especially happening in the Blighted Village, and Flind fight.
Auntie Ethel fight not working. (invisible on the bridge)

Dialogues
Volo’s dialogues have some issues:
1st dialogue, in Druid Grove. Had my main char selected, but upon encountering Volo, he started talking to Shadowheart.
2nd dialogue, when meeting Volo on podium, captured in Goblin Camp, and entertaining the goblin female ; whatever option I chose, the dialogue kept going in a loop without ending the conversation. Had to choose ‘Leave’ in the end to get out of it.
3rd dialogue, in cage, Goblin Camp. Volo says ‘friendship’ , but the text reads acquantaince.
Abdirak, Goblin Camp: dialogue was broken.

Traders
When killing the halfling trader, and the goblin trader in the Goblin Camp, they dropped ALL loot I had sold them earlier on. Good for my cash-flow, but it seems too much of a win-win situation.

Combat / AI Behaviour:
‘Raid the Grove’ scenario: the big ogre walked up and smashed open the gate. After that he just stood there , skipping his turns, saying ‘I’m going to smash you’.

'Plotting next move': the AI, in some fights, has trouble getting through this phase. I've had fights, like the gnolls, that had the Fang of Yeenoghu, never getting past 'Plotting next move', ultimately ending up doing nothing. While standing next to my rogue, so the choice wasn't hard.

Critical hits: 9 out 10 times, when a crit happens, the zoom in is so instant I can’t see anything. Oftentimes the camera ends up behind a rock, wall, or other terrain.
Attacks of Opportunity: not working properly, half of the time surrounded enemies (not using disengage) get away without my melee chars getting an AOO.

Zhentarim trading post: upon entering and starting the dialogue with the Zhentarim trader, I get into combat with a few humans (Karad is leader, I believe) and wolves, deeper in the cave. I’m still in the dark as to why this combat is triggered. Who are these group of enemies? It felt randomly placed, although I may have missed a crucial note or letter somewhere.

Wizard
Fire Bolt feels undertuned. Only potential upside is that it’s a fire spell, and it can ignite area’s. But trying to combo this with Grease so far has been counterproductive. The resulting damage is minimal, while the initial effect of Grease is way too powerful to pass up for that damage.
Ray of Frost is really excellent, best wizard cantrip so far in my opinion. Solid damage, and, on top of that, it sometimes (?) creates a surface which can knock enemies prone. This surface is not being mentioned in the tooltip.

Companions
Great job on giving each companion a unique, living personality. Will come back to this more extensively, once I do some more playthroughs. Current favourite, by a mile, is Lae’zel. Such an epic woman, unbelievable.

Did notice a few inconsistencies in my 1st playthrough.
After the return of Halsin to the Druid Grove, a party night is being held at the camp. I was stunned to see each companion coming on at me, trying for a romance. Sure, alcohol is a thing, but especially Lae’zel and Shadowheart had shown nothing but rudeness and contempt towards me so far, and suddenly they were all over me. Call me old-fashioned, but it felt really weird. (I could see Astarion’s romantic motives here though, he just wants a ‘fun’ night..)
At that same party I was also very surprised to see an elated Wyll. I had chosen the Raid the Grove option at the drow cleric Minatha (?), putting everyone at the Grove at great risk. So, I expected a furious Wyll, but he was very happy. The next long rest though, Wyll did lash out at me for my action, but then it didn’t make sense anymore.

Gale, not in my party in this playthrough, so constantly at camp, is now mentioning each night he needs magical artifacts such as the Staff of Crones. My main char already had this very same item in his inventory for some days but I’m not getting a dialogue option to give this item to Gale. Seems bugged?

I encountered the same issue with Volo's revolving dialogue. I've also encountered a lot of instances of characters forgetting they've had a conversation with you and presenting things like they're brand new information. Somewhat related but amusing is the inconsistencies in the codex. Astarion's exclaims that he's a vampire after its revealed in camp but the update from meeting the hunter is "Astarion might be a vampire!" I actually laughed when I read it.

Regarding the suddenness of the romances--I feel like it highlights the need for more bonding opportunities between the pc and npcs. I feel like we should get a few more instances that help define the relationship and how the characters act toward you. It's whiplash having a relatively friendly conversation with a character but then, because their approval isn't high enough, they great you with disdain when you start a normal dialogue. I feel like their responses to you should be linked more to these moments than to the approval system. (The two could work in conjunction with each other). It would feel more like progress if these moments set the tone for friendship, rivalry, or the triggering of the character as a potential romance option. This last point is the most important, I think, since some players are going to want to flirt with everybody whereas others don't want to be bothered with romance at all or don't want to be propositioned by characters they don't jive with.
