Just a heads up trying to save Halsin and killing the gobbo leaders first before going to the inner sanctum doesnt lead to a unique situation. The kid will still be dead.
Also even one shotting the snake from stealth she'll just drop dead.
Seems the only way to save her is through dialogue
The first situation is not unexpected, and could be changed, but isn't necessarily required to do so. The second situation is just bad and should be altered to take that possibility into account,
Yeah I'm not saying it needs to be changed, the first situation at least. I just wanted to warn people before they spend the time trying to game the system (besides save scumming) to save the girl
And they're limited to certain skills. Can't use dexterity to intervene, can't use animal handling to calm the snake, can't use healing magic, can't do anything about poison. It's clearly set up to fail, and it's done in a way that feels bad.
