I'd been playing on Stadia, but even with very fast internet at home, the experience is awful. Painful UI lag, and smeary compression artifacts everywhere. Sometimes it's reasonably clear, but usually it's like an extra fog.

So, happy to get it working in Proton in Steam on Fedora 33 beta. I needed to do two things:

• Went into the "Launcher" directory and replaced LarianLauncher.exe with a hardlink to ../bin/bg3.exe
• Built and installed the AMDVLK driver from https://copr.fedorainfracloud.org/coprs/tkov/amdvlk/

I expect Valve will figure out the problem with the launcher making the first point obsolete sooner rather than later. The second point is obviously AMD specific, and I'm not sure what the state of that driver vs the one that ships with Fedora, so I need to explore a bit. But anyway, with that, works flawlessly. Haven't had a crash yet.
