I know it is early access, but in my opinion the game is missing dynamics for something in 2020:
1) Long battles, if you die 2-3 times, it is at least 1.5-2 times as long. Maybe longer than 1 or 1.5 hours...
Watching the computer controlling 10 characters, very slowly and they cannot move together, but the players in multiplayer can.
2) Extra clicks, before each dice rolls, after clicking the conversation option. Dice rolls shown multiple times in the same conversations...
Sometimes it is okay to use clever dialogues, without an extra charisma check, and give some satisfaction to the player, maybe some xp too, it feels like, it all comes down to "luck", not to creativity. Sucks if you have no charisma....
3) Dice mechanism is also reminding the player that this is an artificial situation, a simulation of a book, which simulates real life in fantasy settings.
4) Extra click with help action at reviving after battle, when all check successful and the player is stabilized. Why not just let them wake up like in Dragon age Origin.
5) Help action, which is weird, I would not want to spend my turn continuously reviving my companions, who dies the next turn anyway.
6) Self cast is not happening right away I have to use target even for dash.
7) Chaining unchaining craziness... but there are other threads about that.
8) Player has to stop in one place before casting, I am unable to click and execute commands.
9) Jump one by one and no shortcut for it....
10) Not being able to target moving targets, or casting spell by clicking on portraits, Character won't move close to cast it in explorer mode unless it is in "one turn" distance.
11) Extra turns when the enemy does not do much and enemies should not think so much in battle, before moving.
12) Turned based mode when out of battle. It is useful, but not fun. I just avoid using it.
13) This many misses in TB are not fun.
One by one they are not a big deal, but all these little things together are a bit much.
