According to Steam I have played 88 hours of Baldur's Gate 3
I have about three full play through's, one in multiplayer with two friends.
The game isn't perfect, but man do I love it so far.
I have made many posts about improvements the game can make, and will make more in the future.
These posts are meant to improve on what I have found to be a very well crafted game.
The graphics and other technical issues I will have faith Larian will iron out over time, as well as optimizing.
How well they adhere to 5e rules aside, the game is still fun to play. I enjoy the combat, even though I think I would enjoy it more if 5e was followed closer, but it's tactical and challenging.
After all my play through's I have learned the "language of the game" and found you can play a lot of different party compositions and have a lot of fun. In our multiplayer game we played sub optimal builds, with only three characters in the party, Fighter, Rogue and Warlock, and managed to beat EA (Although it was a challenge, but hey down one character always messes with action economy)
But what truly amazes me is how many paths you can take in the story, how the dialogue changes based on choices you have made, and adapts to your actions. Truly this is one of the best executed RPGs I personally have played in a while.
In my three play through's I have had three different Main Story executions, and I expect there might be even one more. The "Evil Path" is probably the most unique of the three, with a completely different story arch being teased.
I just wanted to make this post, to tell Larian to keep doing what they're doing when it comes to the design of the game. There's game mechanical things they can do to improve the enjoyment, but if this attention to detail in the story continues I'm looking forward to the finished product!
