So I grew very curious about this other thing inside us, it appears in the dreams end tries to fight the illithid tadpole. Priestess Guts called it shadow in our mined. So anyone knows or has any ideas what that thing could bee?
It appears to be that the presence that controls the tadpole and keeps it from doing its thing is fighting with it. Gut does not seem to have a clue that true souls have tadpoles. Someone tampered with the things and uses them to create a group of loyal soldiers with enhanced psionic abilities. The tadpoles would like to consume the hosts but are prevented from doing so.
I sometimes use thought experiments. I don't necessarily believe in every idea I post for discussion on this forum
