What are the small and medium various crystals for and what do you use them for?

You will find an object to put them in, and it will be very obvious when you find it.

A crystal in the bag will boost the resist of the type of the crystal (Eg fire -> fire resist, bone -> bone resist). There are as far as I know no ethereal crystals.
boosts from 2 (small) to 10 (largest)

There are shadow crystals too
